Log into your Netgear router, and you should see basic settings for WAN/Internet connectivity with the "Automatic" or "DHCP" setting chosen by default. Switch that setting to PPPoE, and fill in the username and password with the ones you received from
your ISP (user is probably your @centurylink.net email address).
No, it's not a router and a modem. I have the old version. They've came out with a newer one that is a router/modem together but I have not traded mine in for that. That was gonna be my last step.
Could you access the
web-uitlity interface of your Netgear router and see if you can find the WAN/Internet IP address, which is the address assigned by your ISP.

Take a note of the WAN/Internet IP address and go to
http://checkip.dyndns.com/

Does the 'Current Address' match the WAN/Internet IP address that you see on your Netgear? If these two addresses don't match, then your DSL implemantion may create routed network with Network Address Translation.

As GZA describes, the CL 660 need to be operating in bridge. By doing so, the DSL device will no longer be the PPPoE client, to authenticate userid and password (PPP) for connectivity between your ISP and the Internet-at-large. This mode have to
be configure on your Netgear router, for Internet connectivity.

Okay, so no they don't match. The only IP i could come up with for my router is 192.168.1.1 and the IP that came up was [Mod Removed] I'm not sure where I can find the router IP if that wasn't it. and I'm not sure how to make my router go
into PPPoE mode or any other mode like that, I know how to put my modem into bridge, but after that I get lost. What do I do after I put my modem into bridge mode? Can anyone find me a video on how to do this with my router? I know my router is old :/

Mod Edit: Please do not post sensitive information such as full IP addresses on the forums. Thank you.

Now, DO NOT post up all four octets of this address, but only the first two octets of this address. For example, 192.168.

The IP address shown for mine is 10.0.0.2 and it doesn't match that site you gave me.

This confirms your Xbox is double NAT'd, and you need to put the DSL gateway in bridge mode and configure your router to perform the DSL login as instructed previously.
The IP address shown for mine is 10.0.0.2 and it doesn't match that site you gave me.
This is a
private address, routed by your CL 660. This means that any application that communicate, using UDP over NAT traversal, will be NAT'd twice, to and from, the Internet-at-large.

I suggest that you contact your ISP and have them know about your issue. Reach out to a support personnel that knows their way around networking. Ask them about the possibility to have your CL 660 operating in bridge mode.

Greetings Rusty!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Century Link 660 Series is an ADSL2+ modem with router/NAT built-in? If so, this will create multiple layers of NAT (Network Address Translation), since you also use an additional router/NAT device, that terminates to your
CL 660. This topology won't work with UDP (User Datagram Protocol) over NAT traversal and since Xbox One don't uses STUN (Session Traversal Utility for NAT), to discover and diagnose NAT behavior, it is more sensitive, how application on the Xbox One communicates
through end-user NAT devices.

Please, verify if this is a match and we'll work from there.

Thank you!
