I have an adult Microsoft account and have allowed multiplayer in my settings but still...

I am having the same issue trying to join a realm on Pocket Edition. Yes, I have a free Xbox Live Account, and yes I have changed all my settings to allow, and yes I have an adult account, not a child account, but I still get the same message everytime,
"You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your microsoft account is set up. "

Yes, you need Gold or Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold) in order to be able to play it online.

I have gold and still can't play multiplayer. Gives me the ''you cant play multiplayer games because of how your account is set up''.

I've tried things to do with my firewall, my account isn't a child one, following different guides online etc.. Been trying to fix this for two days now and i can't get it to work. It's not just on minecraft either, i have the same error when trying to play any multiplayer game

Please try to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and check your online and privacy settings.

If you just get a page that explains how to set up a child account, then you need an adult with an adult Microsoft Account.

The adult has to go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and add your child account to their family.

Then the adult goes to https://account.xbox.com/settings and selects your child profile. Then they have to set your online and privacy settings to allow you to talk in multiplayer
and to play multiplayer.

Have you checked that your online & privacy settings is set to allow to join multiplayer.

If the account is a child account only an adult account linked to the child account will be able to change the settings.
