    Can I Install Games on a USB?

    Since I could not get a hold of a Xbox ambassador I'm making a post on the forums.

    I have the Oblivion GOTY edition and was planning on installing the expansion.

    Problem is, that I have a Xbox 360 4GB Kinect console so it won't install onto my 4GB hard drive.

    I was wondering if I get that 16 GB SanDisk Xbox 360 USB would I be able to install my games on that.

    Any legitimate help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there Devious!

    You will need to have a hard drive in order to be able to install Battlefield 4. The mandatory install cannot be installed to a USB drive or to the 4gb internal flash memory on an Xbox 360 console.

    Error says I don't have enough space to play my defiance game but my Xbox is only 2 days old never played any games yet?.

    Did you buy the 4GB Kinect version? If so that is your problem. You would need to purchase a HDD for your xbox as the 4GB slim version only has flash memory. If you have a USB flash drive handy you should be able to format it and use it to download the Defiance
    patch notes. If you have a flash drive here is a link to help you with formatting it

    I don't see where it says exactly how to do it. Is there a way to change the storage device you want to save what you're downloading to?

    I have a 4GB Xbox now with no hard drive, but I'm using a USB to act as a hard drive and I want to be able to download content that exceeds 4GB to the USB.

    Xbox 360 slim storage and games?

    The 4GB Xbox 360 is ok to get if you don't want to install the games on your 4GB storage. You will still be able to play games on it, just not be able to install them. That means you will constantly be using the DVD drive, which puts wear and tear on it
    quicker. If you get a 250GB Xbox 360 you will have more benefits, like installing your games to the hard drive, downloading apps and being able to store music on there as well.

    As long as you have the space on your Xbox 360, then your console will be fine.

    If your console has a hard drive installed on it, then you should be ok.

    If your console only has the 4gb storage that came with some Xbox 360 consoles, then you will need to either install a hard drive, or use a USB storage device with 8gb or higher.

    If you have a hard drive installed, then you can buy either the disc or the online digital version, but if you only have the 4gb storage that came with the console, then your best bet would be to get the disc, as you would only need to install the 8gb needed
    on an external USB storage device.
