that is the point, i don't have any summons and I am getting invaded. I am battling all the other enemies, like in the library before crystal cave and it is hard enough fending off wizards let alone some dude wasting me. If I had the summons, THEN I say
bring it on.

I didn't think I could seal (close) the gate, but I can. (I thought I couldn't because there's no gate seal [if the DLC introduced one, which it didn't] and that confused me)

I just got Lightning recently...after 5-10 battles or so. (I probably got lucky)

Going to kind of base this off demon souls when it's first released, the coop had a few problems there as well like you could try and summon someone and it would keep saying no connection or keep saying connecting or summoning for like 5 hours straight.
But after they sent their first patch it fixed it all up and you can coop with anyone in a matter of seconds

I think for dark souls it's the same, but I also think they have alot of rules to it before it works like one player has to be human form and also both players should have the summoning stone thing (the white crystal you get from that Knight before the dragon)
for it to work. I know one thing......the pvp aspect works and being ambushed by a player and npcs that are ally with him is just a kick in the ....ya

Black crystal doesn't work against invaders. Only those you summon. If you're close to boss gate, you can enter and kick the invader out, though I can understand why many don't. They probably are looking for someone's sign or even still getting ready. The
black crystal would be good to use if you're invading, but only if you have time. I've seen people camp invader spawn points in some fashion to not even give them a chance to get away and have the time to use it. When summoned by my friend, we would usually
hang out in the forest, purposely getting invaded for fun. The moment some hacker invaded? He would dashboard and we would both file the complaint on them. That would be at least two people filing a complaint instead of one. The more complaints filed from
multiple parties, the more likely something will happen if it's a legitimate complaint.

Your statement is not an opinion, to clarify. It also seems to come off as rather arrogant or simply mocking the original poster. If neither of these were your intent, better wording could have been used.
