Discus and support i have a seagate of 2 tb for my xbox one all of my games are on that even the one's from... in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; So.. my question is, can i keep it once it's on that drive all i do is plug it in and i can unplug it to keep it safe, so what i'am wondering about is...     So.. my question is, can i keep it once it's on that drive all i do is plug it in and i can unplug it to keep it safe, so what i'am wondering about is ik their is no official way to keep but how about the unoffical way such as a seagate or other 3rd party drives that can store games ect would it allow me to play when i bought it from another account <also please don't say this question has been asked i already felt through all that is like this not one i seen has any questions involving a seagate... or a third party memory drive that works on xbox cause i can techinally store there unplug it and since i did buy it.. its mine to keep and i do with what i please. so making sure i get another side to this is why i'am asking..

    Storage Alternatives for XBOX versus internal drive

    Right now i have 3 external HDD on my Xbox One X.

    2 WD of 2 TB and 1 Seagate of 8 TB.

    I use the Seagate for all the games that are Xbox One X enhanced the other for the games that are Xbox One regular games or Xbox 360 backwards compatible.

    So i use the internal to the games the required a lot of data reading example RDR 2, HALO TMCC, etc.

    I'm using a 2 TB Seagate HDD with my XBOX one and have all BC 360er games installed there, because all BC games must be downloaded again on your HDD or Xbox One internal HDD again because they will be Patches with the reworked software parts. All BC 360er
    games at my external 2 TB HDD are working fine !!

    Hi Astalris, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that you can only play games using the same account where the games were purchased, or you can access them still as long as you set the account as Home Xbox.

    Having an External hard drive is a good thing but it's used mainly to store the games but not copy game licenses. It's on our Microsoft account itself.

    you can store and use xbox one/360 BC games on the external, from multiple gamertag libraries, but to use said games each account that owns the licence for those games must be signed in on the console in use and set console as home for each account.

    also the games are not yours, you own a licence to use the games and that's it.
