I have a problem with setting the xbox home on another console

I had similar problem when i'm forgot to disable "Home Console" on another Xbox

I'm afraid that won't be my case as this is my first Xbox One and I never set any console as home.

So I figured out the problem, and this is to help anybody else that runs into this issue.

I have my home Xbox set to another console, as many others do, I game share with a friend. But my console does not have a designated home Xbox.

So I figured you need that set up to use many things offline. So if your in the same situation, what you can do is use another account on your console, or create a 'dummy' account. Use that account to essentially 'purchase' the free app, and set that account
as your home Xbox, once an account that basically 'owns' the app is your home Xbox, you then can use the app offline, to watch DVDs and Blu-rays.

When you say that "We have one Xbox and it is designated Home Xbox for all of us", does that mean that each account set the console to Home? If so, that could be your problem. Only the account that has the Game Pass Ultimate should set the console to Home. If you set another account to Home, it removes the prior Home account. As long as the account with the subscription sets the console to Home, then all accounts that log into that console can utilize the Gold features. Just make sure that your account isn't set to auto login as that will get signed out once you log in somewhere else.

That means the original owner left the console set as their Home. If they ever set another console as their Home, you'll lose access to them that way. Setting the console as your Home will not effect it.

@Smwutches I believe if you set a console as your home, then it will remove the previous account that was ser for home console and previous games will not be playable. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No. One console can have multiple accounts listed as Home Console, 1 account cannot have multiple consoles. So won't affect the previous account, only will if the previous owner sets the his account as home console in another console.

Thanks for your post. To answer your questions, an Xbox Profile is able to sign in on a console and set one console as "Home Xbox" this setting allows the content from said profile to be shared to any profile signed in on that console while the original
account can sign into another console and still use that content(subscriptions & games) simultaneously. The Home Xbox setting only allows for one console to have content shared from one account at one time, if Home Xbox is set on another console, the first
console that was set as Home Xbox will be stripped of the ability to use content from that account.

The only way that both kids will be able to play the same game at the same time will be if one plays on the console set as Home Xbox under their own profile (HIJO1 or HIJO2), and the other child will have to play on another console while signed in under
the PADRE account to use that same content.
