    I have a problem concerning Xbox Live Messaging.


    Hi! I contained most of the information in a reddit post here - Please don't upvote, I need help. : xboxone

    I don't know what I did to break the code of conduct or policy and now I cannot send messages to my friends. I try to be a good player and I don't usually play online, and if I do, I don't use a mic. I don't send messages to random people either.

    Not sure why you say I shouldn't have done it

    Fyi the terms of the upgrade is clear

    You upgrade the complete time that's 13monrhs of ultimate not month to month

    Only after your prepaid time is over

    Do you get charged

    Simply turn off autorenewal

    And let it revert and then do the upgrade again with upto 3 years that's what I do

    Stack 3 years then upgrade for 3 years of ultimate for 149

    Hi and thanks for reaching out. I hope you’re doing well. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I'll be happy to help you.

    Kindly try clearing your console's cache by following the steps below.

    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    3. Plug the console power cable back in.

    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    If it still doesn't work, try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data that restricts you from using your console normally without deleting your games or apps.​​​​​​​

    Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

    3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Yes I have done the license transfer to this system which is why we are concerned that there may be a problem. The messages that appear when I'm trying to join their games via backwards compatibility are "the current session is no longer available" for
    LAN/system-link and "you must be connected to Xbox live to play online" for Xbox live.
