I have a prepaid code for Halo: Reach and when trying to redeem the code it doesn't work.

So i heard that Halo Reach was Backwards compatible with Xbox one so i purchased a prepaid code and tried to redeem it.

When i go to the website and click ''Redeem Code'' and type it in, it then says ''Use Prepard code Halo: Reach'' and i press confirm. It then says ''Somthing went wrong'' and says give it another try. I have tried it multiple times and still no luck. I
have tried typing in the error code and searching for other people with the same issue but have not found a solution.

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

Does your account region Match your actual region if not that would be why

In order to get halo games you must have an matching account region

You can change this under my account and change my region on this website however if you don't live in an xbox live country or temporarily visiting you will Have to wait till your country is supported or you are back in your home country

Try Redeeming the Code on the Xbox one or the Xbox 360. If you wish to redeem on the website. Make sure you have the newest version of your browser. May sound bias, but if that does not work try on edge/internet explorer.

They haven't implemented the Xbox 360 codes in on Xbox one. redeem the code on online on xbox.com or on 360.

If you buy a redeemable code from a retailer, they need to activate it by scanning it. That is how it's always been when buying redeemable codes from a retailer.

Try to redeem the code online as well as one the console:
https://support.xbox.com/billing/prepaid-codes/redeem-prepaid-codes

If that doesn't work then unfortunately you will have to go back to where you purchased the game, or it could be possible that Xbox Support can assist you in some way if you have any kind of proof of purchase.

Hi ,

Have you tried the code in all capitals?

Couple of choices you have.

First one is try to redeem the card online through your account.

If it still doesn't work try going onto the Microsoft support and double check the code is valid.
