i talked to a official of microsoft and they said to post here about this, but my friend assaulted me and my family personally, saying really bad things and i want to have him banned for assaulting my family and me really personally his gamertag is [Mod
removed] and he has other accounts so if u can please ban those to, i dont want him to **** people like he did to me

I was told today by another player he was gonna hack me and murder me and my family and I feel very threatened and I want this person permanently banned from Xbox live because this is no joke I hope somebody from Xbox sees this he has multiple accounts somebody

Permanent communication ban

My friend (InsaneMontagne) has been permanently communication banned because someone wanted his name but he wouldn't give it to him, so the person who wanted his name got all his friends to report him and after the amount of reports he got automatically
banned. Its quite a problem as we cannot communicate over Xbox and since he cannot contact support I was just wondering whether you could look into this

You were given the wrong info.

The only way to report someone is via your console,it can't be done on the forums or anywhere else.

You should block communcations with this person as well.

Also,you are not allowed to call out gamertags on the forums.

I understand the case, so definitely I will not lend him my account because I want to follow the rules and I don't want to be banned and I have personal info in my account which I would not share with anyone because it could put in risk to myself and my family's lives.

Thank you for making me understand that, I decided that I will just send him some money via online so he will be able to buy what he wants for his birthday (I am doing this because he has done the same thing for me in my past birthdays for many years).

It’s a permanent suspension and I haven’t done anything in violation severe enough to be banned that’s for sure. Comms ban sure. Some people have excess of 5 comms bans with no permanent suspension. So it’s not abusing the system when a group of gamers come together to report one person to get them removed from a game because I wasn’t “going with the flow” of what they wanted? The system is dumb. If they look at all your messages why don’t they look at who messaged first and who violated the terms FIRST in the conversation? If the person sending the report violated the terms of agreement their whole report should be NULL. That way you can’t have bully’s report victims and get them perma banned. The whole ban system needs a rework. They aren’t showing why I got permanently suspended either when my other comms ban has the reason. Also, my other comms ban was for a typo, nice.
