I have a One S Digital and I can't get games to run

Hi, I have a One S Digital. I bought it second hand from Cex last week.

I have game pass and I'm having real trouble getting any game to run:

Halo master chief collection - managed to get this to start twice, now I just get error 0x8027025a and it says it is taking too long to start (it will do this a dozen times in a row). I reset the console and downloaded it again overnight (third time I've
downloaded it); it gets halfway through the campaign loading bar and then just hangs.

Sniper Elite 4 - downloaded fine, played for a few hours, came back and all of the saves were missing. Then wouldn't reload.

Ace Combat - downloaded three times, never got it to load once.

Outer Worlds - downloaded 3 times, it worked once and froze after two minutes.

Forza 4 is the only game I've managed to get working.

The unit is in good condition, all updates are installed, everything was wiped and reinstalled (twice) - I have no idea why nothing works. I can wait 10 minutes on a loading screen and nothing happen.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you are having trouble with a recently purchased used console. Sounds like it may be on its last leg. All the things you explain point to issues with the hard drive not working correctly. You shouldn't have to
reinstall a game for it to work correctly every time. As you have already done the troubleshooting we would offer. We recommend taking it back to the point of purchase and see if they can swap for different one.

Hi, unfortunaltely you can't use your dvd games on the xbox one s all digital, if you want to play them you need to buy again a digital copy of them... there were some rumor about an official process of convertion from phisics to digital copy to be applied
by Microsoft, but as of now there is no way to do it, maybe they will start a program in the future but for now you can't use them.

And I thought x/s games meant they run on Xbox one x & Xbox one s

But having digitally purchased JEDI SURVIVOR DELUXE EDITION.

The store won’t let me download it stating it incompatible with my Xbox one S??

I have an Xbox one S.

I can launch the games when I am not streaming.

The Xbox one games run fine.

It is every backwards compatible game I try.

It is a combination of both digital and physical.

Yeah,the digital xbox one s is really aimed at first time buyers of this gen or people who have gone completely digital with their games.

If you have a load of disc copies of games that you want to play then paying a little more for a xbox one s with a disc drive would be cheaper in the long run if you factor in the cost of having to buy digital versions of the games you have on disc.
