I have a new pc and it has windows 11, i am unable to play Xbox. Keeps asking for permission.

Are you part of a family group, right?
Also, do you have / use a child account?

In the meantime, please make sure that everything in your system is up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update
Click Check for Updates

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too. (Click on get updates)

How can i get rid of microsoft family

Thank you, SamQY. I already attempted to take ownership of that folder, but I have been unable to locate it. I am running Windows 11 on a new PC. I don't know if that affects if/where that folder would be in existence.

I am playing on Windows 11 PC. Installed the game using Xbox App.

My pc is unable to run long enough to even bring up a menu at this point and all I have attempted to do was the steps you listed. After launching deadcells my PC has degraded to a point of being unable to even repair it. I am beyond words at this point. I am using windows 11 and this pc is decently up to date hardware wise. I'm having to reply on my phone. How is Xbox gamepass allowing this to continue on their gamepass when this seems to be a known issue from my digging. It killed my computer just by launching it. I am furious, and unable to do anything because it crashes roughly 5 minutes after launch.
