I have 360 but have forgot the 4 digit code to turn the timer off, how can I reset this...

Hello Vivid. I am seeing that you are having trouble with the family timer on the account. There is a very easy way to reset your family settings. Here is how you do it:

1) Turn on your XBOX 360 and go to the "Settings" tab on the dashboard.

2) Click on the "Family" option

3) Enter the pass code that it asks for. This was set when the family settings were originally placed.

4) Then you can turn off the family settings. Save and exit after you complete this step. This will eliminate the family timer altogether.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I have tried turning off the timer and resetting it back up, I have literally sat and watched the timer run out and the screen pops up asking to add more time etc. but there is no way I can get past all this unless I put
the pass code in. I have no idea how he is getting around it, I know for a fact that he doesn't know the pass code because I change it nearly every day. I thought the family timer was a brilliant idea as previously we had argument after argument about him
turning it off after a specific amount of time and to be fair it has worked perfectly up until recently, probably about a month or so since it all went wrong. I am stumped! Please help restore the harmony in my house.

You might have to go to settings because i used to have the same problem but it might be your xbox on a timer i had a timer i have to turn it off it turned off after like a hour of playing or it might be that ur tv has a timer too

And the April update is already with the devs... Do they plan on a monthly? rumor is next update will be external support / friends notifications / and more tweaking.

One thing we all need is a turn off timer... that 1 hour inactivity does not work... I have 3 cats... and they actually reset the timer... or if I fell asleep on the couch.... just wiggling my toe resets it... it is WAY to sensitive... instead of 1 hour
6 hour... we need turn off (Now, 30 Min, 1 Hr 2 Hr) with no reset of timer

Ok, I have cleared the systems cache, knocked off the timer, knocked it back on, changed the pass code and pass code reset question and answer. I have let the timer run and again I can't go any further without inputtng the pass code which obviously is how
it should work.

The test is when my son gets home tonight from School and will see what happens then.
