I hate Microsoft

    It took me forever to get here. I tried to send an email to someone, but looks like Microsoft is tired of hearing how bad they are so that's not an option anymore. Anyways, this is my problem. The card that I use to pay for my Xbox Live membership was used
    fraudulently so it was cancelled. I tried renewing my membership so that I can play Gears of War 2 (the only good product on a Microsoft environment). I get this message:

    Try updating your subscription

    If you want to change the way you pay for your subscription, you can change the payment option for your current one rather than buying a new subscription.

    I tried moving heaven and earth to look for this option. You would thing there would be a link for this on that message. I even tried doing what they said through my Xbox. No luck. I'm done trying.

    How can someone make it so hard to sell a product...anyways, just wanted to express my hate and I'm done with this.You will not get another dollar from me.

    psn has none of these problems, I've already cancelled my gold i refuse to buy any more videos, and if I'm paying for the right to use it then thats what i should have regardless of being signed on the internet or not, the fact that xbox 1 was made to never
    download video this is an epic faliur and frankly just shows me how little they care about there customers

    Sorry to hear you're having issues.

    Please log in to commerce.microsoft.com. At that website you'll be able to add a new payment method. Then you can switch it to your primary and remove the old card.

  6. It's a fair rant. I'm having the exact same problem right now for almost the exact same reason (lost card, cancelled it, got a new one, and now seem unable to renew my membership).

    In response to what Onyx said: I did add a new card and remove my old one. It didn't keep that message from popping up.

    I know this is a late response to an old thread, but it's worth bringing it up again. Hopefully someone who actually understands the issue (ie staff or someone who's experienced it themselves) can provide an actual solution to it. My membership expires in
    two weeks and I'd really like to get this sorted out before then.

    If you have changed your card and are still experiencing issues with purchasing then you'll need to contact phone support as only they can handle billing issues like that.

    If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269
