I hate how we still need the Disc to play in 2014....

The PC has had CD Keys for years, why can't we just have something like that on our retail games? I only buy retail because Digital is like twice the price and the game prices never come down. I got Assassin's creed Unity for £28 at retail, but it was like
£55 on the Digital store. RockSmith was £60 on the Digital store, but £55 at retail with the real tone cable...

Digital on these consoles is such a rip off, Steam has all their Sales, GoG has amazing sales going on now, the games on these stores are constantly going down in price and releasing at a competitive price to retail. Yet on these consoles digital is so much
more expensive.... it makes no sense what so ever...

I just want the ability to play my games without a disc, I know that was the plan before people over reacted to the always online stuff which had some amazing features.

I hate the topic of exclusive titles. Everyone should be able to play great games, but we still need some form of competition other than hardware to create a diversified industry.

Playing games from the HDD with the new Dashboard

Before you could hit the Y button which took you too where you Install the game and Play it from the HDD. I don't see that option or any other place for this so how do we do we install our games and play them from the HDD "now"? I hate my games playing straight
from the disc.

It doesn't bother me. Putting a disc in is only like 3 seconds. I really don't see the big deal.

Digital prices are out of control on consoles though.

Heres one for you to think about instead of arguing whats on the disc or what isn't.

DLC wasn't included on the disc maybe we could of had bigger an better games due to disk size restrictions.

No matter how you whine over the matter we still end up having to pay twice for the content if already on disc, im not hating because if it's a game i like il buy the DLC no matter what to pro long the life span of some thing i like.

Disc are still required because it is the form of Physical Rights Management. The Disc is required because, without it one could simply "loan" the Disc to everyone they know and each person could simply "install" it without
requiring the Disc any further.

Think of this way, you need at least one "proof" of "ownership". A Disc or Physical Rights will be one version of "ownership". A Downloaded or Digital Rights will be the other version of "ownership". Pick one of the two. The original
idea of the Xbox One was to not require the Disc as "proof" of "ownership" but the Internet hated that idea.

You still need the disc to play the game because it is with the disc that you prove you own the game. If the disc is readable it will work for sure.
