I got some one else gamer tag name not my gamer tag name

Hi there I have like a major problem ... I just bought a new xboxone when I was trying to set it up to get my gamer tag from my xbox360 ( HOVACONE ) and all the status I placed my email address but the password did not work for some reason so I placed I
forgot my password and I changed it with no problem at all but when I loged on I got something else not my name not my gamer tag it gave me a new gamer tag ( ) .... With like 170 G only my gamer tag (HOVACONE) has 38576 G and I know that Because
I looked in the find someone and I found my self it's there (HOVACONE) but I can't access it ....please fix this

New to Xbox

I think your actual one got hack. Or there a glitch in the system. But as a XCA. I do not have access to the system.

Yes...I get that image...and have tried that. But, it is not letting me change my gamer name to my old name....

I appreciate all your help...but, I think part of the problem is with the set up that Best Buy did.....

I think I will just wait a few days...give my brain a rest.....and try again...

Non-use....is not the problem. I play daily.

However....it doesn't matter.....I have tried everything that has been suggested.....so, like I said, I give up...and will start over.

Again....thanks for all the input and suggestions.
