    I got modded?!


    I started up Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and I went straight to Multiplayer, but when I got to the multiplayer main screen, my rank had reset from prestige 4: level 36 to no prestige: level 1. I rebooted everything thinking that maybe it wasn't loading
    right at first, but that didn't fix anything. So even though it sucked, I thought that I could start all over again. When I reached level 4 (unlocking the ability to create a class) all of the weapons and perks were locked, and I had an M9 Pistol in both first
    and secondary weapon slots. I have no clue what to do here. COD4: Modern Warfare (the original-->not remastered version) is well known for its wide variety of modders, and I have encountered many, but this isn't the only time my rank has been changed by one.
    Did I get de-ranked by a modder, or is it because my Gold membership is running out soon? Please help. Any feedback is great. Xbox has been a great company that has a lot of cool features, and Call of Duty 4 is one of my favorites.

    Some small time name on Instagram gave me a shout for being the 100th. I've been getting on the #xboxone hash tag and trying to find a few new people to check the site out daily. Always bringing in friendlies from elsewhere.

    Hope we get a few new faces!

    Unfortunately it does sound like you may have been de-ranked within the game. It would be something you would have to address with Infinity Ward/Activision since it is a game specific issue.

    If you haven't already, you'd need to file a complaint on him via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate him. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

    You'd also want to contact your ISP to alert them of the attack.

    i kept on reading something that they are saying that cause you got the mods with you as well. some forums said you got "infected" and got the mods with you, some mods "sticks" and some don't. I have no idea what they are talking about. if you join an "infected"
    game, does that mean you are deemed to be banned (when caught) as well? is it legal to mod lobbies and maps?? i mean if it is a private game, then everyone in that lobby got same mods right? IM CONFUSE LOL

    That caller is a prank caller. He might be your "friend" or someone somehow got your cellphone number and prank called it saying you were going to be banned.

    Like mentioned, you would be notified on the Xbox Console with a message popping up saying you were suspended, that is the only way.

    If you receive any sort of enforcement action against your account, you will receive a message on your XBox Dashboard about it. Microsoft will never send you a message warning you to contact them about a suspension or ban, they will just suspend you or
    ban you and then send you an e-mail explaining why. Do not reply to that e-mail.
