    I got halo for free somehow??


    So i was gone for thanksgiving weekend since wednesday.

    I came home today and began to play Destiny. About 1.5 hours in,

    I get a notification that Halo Master Chief Collection is ready to play!? WHAT!? i quickly opened halo and sure enough, its there.

    I never bought it, i am confused, free game i guess? ill take it.

    It works btw, i played story mode for halo 1 for 2 hours while the rest was still downloading.

    just search xbox.com halo 3 under games i got it for free not that hard

    Oh well I didn't get anything either. But one time I got that free game Undertow when LIVE was having issues when Halo 3 released. I didn't have issues though. Oh and I got in a couple of betas for the Dashboard and got a copy of Halo Reach to test for
    one of the betas.

    But no I've never gotten anything free from Microsoft. I got halo for free somehow?? ;)

    steam took over and loaded the game it all looked really good , the game loaded got all the way up to the main screen , when I checked for my options as a keyboard player it said BUY THE GAME ! wth so depressing . I paid twice for halo master cheif and i'm not going to do that for halo infinite. dont know how that happened I have halflife installed thru steam so somehow steam loaded halo but its the free version.

    so I will try your steps again. I did use xbox pc app , but it ended with the same error
