I Got Banned From Being Provoked

Today while I was playing Black Ops 3, a person with the Gamertag: Ect messaged me asking why I use the gun I was using and provoked me to try and get a reaction, as stupid as I was I gave him a reaction and said "s t f u", he then asked me what that meant
so I told him. I then got a message from him saying "Banned" with a smiley face. I did not deserve this 24 hour ban. He provoked and provoked me until I gave him what he wanted so he could ban me, this is not how people who have this power should use it. He
is overusing what he has to negatively effect myself and many others when I was just playing the game by myself causing no trouble.

Account Suspension

I was playing rainbow six siege and got a 1v4 clutch and so messaged a guy saying "destruction". I lost the next round and so he said 2-1(score). he kept on doing this until we lost the game (being provokative). he then said dont get cocky and at the end
i had 12 kills so i put "i had 12 kills�� [Mod Removed - Profanity]" and got banned, even though it was provoked and he was smack talking aswell. absolute joke

Enforcement ban

hi. So I have been banned for 2 weeks for profanity. Which I understand. But the guy who got me banned. Provoked me with the threat of a ban. And then he's since been messaging me saying hi. And laughing that I cannot reply. I think this is wrong. What I
said back and the reason I was banned was unacceptable. But shouldn't he be just as bad for continuing to try and mock me over Xbox knowing he got me banned and is the reason I'm banned in the first place?

Sorry to hear it. First I wanted to mention that it is not allowed to name and shame other gamertags on the forums.

With that being said you should always refrain from allowing others to provoke you in games as this is exactly what they are looking to do. You can find more information on the suspension by logging in to http://enforcement.xbox.com/
and click the hammer icon. You won't be able to open a case review with the PET though as they do not offer them for actions of 24 hours

Yeah, except that I got banned for responding to someone who provoked me. Doesn't really seem like an appropriate response from Microsoft. Granted, my response did contain 1 curse word, but again it's retaliation. Otherwise, bullying goes unchecked.

Ok good to know, I understand fully why it happened on my end. Still ashamed that you can provoke, call someone a bum, and use outlandish cuss words such as [mod removed] but be within the guidelines. Can only learn from it. Thanks

You can't do that. If you had reported them, the enforcement team will investigate them as well and take the appropriate actions. In situations like that, it's always best to just report and block instead of responding.
