I got an XBox 1 Halo Wars 2 bundle as a gift, but it says there was only a code for the Xbox ...

I got the Xbox 1 Halo Wars 2 (1T) bundle from a local GameStop. It says on the box there is a Halo Wars 2 Game for the XBox and the PC, but there is only a disk for the XBox Halo Wars 2 and the code for the Season Pass and the Definitive Edition.

What do I do?

Still No Definitive Edition Code

It says I already own the game but I get stuck in an endless cycle of "You already own this game" to "Available only as part of a bundle./Not sold seperately"

On my Xbox there is no option for Halo Wars Definitive Edition in the ready to install list.

On PC in the Halo app, the definitive edition is listed as "Buy Now".

I've double checked my order history and to make sure I got the Ultimate Edition and I did get to play Halo Wars 2 a few days early with that bundle.

 

Halo Wars 2 Ultimate not unlocking Halo Wars 1 on PC

Hi, I've recently bought a prepaid code for the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition (marked as a Play Anywhere title). I'm able to install Halo Wars 2 on both my PC and Xbox One, but Halo Wars 1 will only install on my Xbox One and doesn't show in my PC library.
Please can you advise?

I just got through with chatting with Microsoft support and they recommended for me to contact my retailer about the confusion (bought mine at gamestop as well). Just looking through a couple of unboxing of this exact console on youtube you can see we are
not the only ones who received physical copies of the game instead of digital which it says on the side of the box we should have received. I've reached out to gamestop but I don't think its something they will fix for us.

Thanks for the details and sorry for the delay, if the console came with a physical edition, then you would need to purchase a separate copy digitally to take advantage of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Only digital copies will unlock access to both the
Console and Windows 10 version for free.

To clarify, this came with a physical copy of the game correct?
