I got a problem with sending messages to friends.

My friend got his whole inbox wiped and he couldn't send messages or invites. He was able to finally send me a party invite and told me what was going on. I'm now starting to have problems with sending and receiving messages it seems.

Yes. I have had the same problem sending messages to people who aren't on my friends list. It's been going on for 3 months. If I send them a friend request and if the friend request is pending I am able to send them a message with no problem. If they aren't
on my friends list I get a message that says message could not be sent "xbox live" I am on the phone with microsoft now and they don't know what's going on. If I send them a message like 15 or 20 tries sometimes I can get a message to go through.

I haven't got an answer, why so many users are having problem sending messages.

It seems that the majority of affected users are still able to send messages through their console, but only to those users on their friend list. They can also send messages through xbox.com.

FYI, I've spun this up to the Microsoft/Xbox global escalation team last week. For them to start an investigation.

I hope this will be sorted out as soon as possible.

Right, sadly enough no one else has has commented on this but me.. have you found a way to fix this bug yet; because i am still experiencing the same problem when I want to rage at my team or congratulate them for winning the match with a simple message
of "GG"-[Good Game] on World of Tanks.

I do know that if you toggle to also send the message to a friend, friends and the person who isn't on your friends list that'll not send to that other person a part from your friends. - You can only send messages to people on your friends list so sending
a friend request and then sending a message to that person you want to talk/message to will work, at least that's the way I have to do it
