Yup, he used an Amazon Gift Card to buy an Xbox Gift Card.

I tried your suggestion, but when we tried to purchase an item to see if there was an option to buy as a gift, there was a message saying that they would send a security code to our email address. We got the security code, but the problem now is that the
security code doesn't work. I copied & pasted the code in & I also typed it in manually, but it keeps saying that the Microsoft Security Code is invalid.

Just to add some info, after contacting support 4th time, they said there are some problems on the servers with billing address apparently... they now going to send me an email within 24 hrs to try address this issue, hope this will help but just wondering how a gaming console can be so problematic, it shouldn't even need to know my address or else to play.

The Xbox gift card I bought should be all I need to have some credit on xbox account and buy games, but without a valid credit card and a billing address I can even use that, it won't load at all, at first because no Visa card was on my microsoft account and now because there is no billing address.

I think this is insane as I paid $$ for the gift card and can't use it,, not to say misleading as it should print in bold letter on the front" XBOX GIFT CARD_ BUT CANT USE IT IF YOU DONT GIVE US YOUR VISA CARD TOO BTW" 😅
