I I recently bought a starter pack for the game Terra for a friend and need to figure out a way to get the code because it's region locked how do I go about this to get the code for Canada?

Cannot Redeem Code

My friend in USA just gifted me a code for Borderlands The Handsome Jack Collection. I went to redeem the code it said the code was region locked and to contact seller to get code for your region. I'm in canada how do i redeem this code.

If the friend that gifted you the code is in another region the code will not work as codes are region locked. That friend would have to contact official support to attempt to get a refund.

Sorry to hear it. All digital gift codes are region locked and cannot be used outside of the region it was purchased it. You can try phone support to see if they are able to provide you with a region free code otherwise you would need to request a refund
on the purchase. 1-800-469-9269 in North America

Hi there,

I'm afraid not, when a code is regionally locked it can only be used in that specific region. It's basically unsupported to use codes from other regions.

Best option is, if the friend gifted it via the Gift option on xbox, is have you friend try and get it refunded.

This is an intentional feature. Most product codes are region locked, for example if i were to buy a gift card in Germany and gift it to my friend in the UK it wouldn't work on his console due to said region lock.

Gifts on Xbox are region locked. Your friend can either ask for a refund or give the code to someone else in his region.
