Hi,

I gifted a friend of mine via xbox a DLC. I should note that we live in different countries and when they try to redeem it it says it was purchased in another region. i know the DLC is availble in her region just she wasnt able to aford it. how can she redeem it or can i get my money back?

Gifting is region locked. So the code would only work in your region. There is no way around that. You would need to request a refund. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders

She did open a ticket with them months ago and did contact support but they told her I don't know it's not our department. I was directed to post here by support.

No one on the forum has access to this kind of information. I presume your friend phoned support and set up an unauthorised access ticket with them to investigate the account theft?.

If so then tell her she needs to ring them to see what the situation is.

If she has not opened an investigation through phone support then she needs to do that as soon as possible.
