I get audio but video is very fuzzy

Hi, I experienced a lightning storm recently that seems to have *** something up on my Xbox 360 (original console). I am using the HD AV cables that came with the system and have tried to connect by selecting both HDTV and standard TV. My audio works fine
but the video is very fuzzy, I can barely read what is on the screen. I am not getting any error messages or flashing red codes. I have verified multiple times that I have chosen the proper input on my TV and I have tried resetting the factory defaults within
the Xbox via the controller. Nothing has worked. Do you guys think my AV cables are bad or my Graphics card?

Thanks for the clarification, garyfrtampa. To start, have you tried the troubleshooting steps listed in this support article titled "Xbox 360 audio or
video problems"? Take a look at the sections titled Picture is unclear or fuzzy and
Picture has a green or purple tint, flickering, or ghosting.

E74 Error Due to New System Update

I have this problem as well. After the update the unit did not restart, so I went ahead and started playing RB3. Then the video got very fuzzy and green, so I restarted. Now all I get is E74. I will call the posted number tomorrow.

It may just be the AV cables they might be and are usually the problem.

Yeah audio files can be very big, in some cases larger then videos.

Only PART OF the image is fuzzy on the dashboard (on 3rd attempt to use console, after watching Zune videos), not the whole screen. JUST THE AVATARS were fuzzy, and the fuzz moved w/the avatars as I scrolled thru the dashboard. If it was a bad cable, the
whole screen would be fuzzy, it isn't (outside of GTA IV at least)-- It also would NOT work fine (like it has been) during first 60 seconds of use if it was a bad cable.
