I formatted an HDD to work with my Xbox One and didn't know data was left on it. Help!

All 2tb of data shows up as unallocated. EaseUs says there's 182.6 gigabytes of data which can be recovered, which sounds about right, but it refuses to let me download it without a 70 dollar license. I've tried Recuva, EaseUs, MiniTool, and right now I'm
taking a shot at AOMEI. Does anyone know how to recover my important information for free?

Thank you!

:)

Transfer Xbox one games from PC

Hi all,

So I'm having an issue with my Xbox one external HDD, I've been using it for a while to store my games/game saves etc. As a means of speeding up the running of the console. Unfortunately, I unplugged the HDD one day to use it in another console. When I plugged
it back into my console none of the data was recognisable. I tried all help, new USB cable, hard reset etc. so I plugged it into my PC to see if the drive was damaged/corrupt in anyway. The drive still works but data was unrecognisable on the Xbox so I decided
to recover the data using a HDD recovery app. This worked however the data had to be stored on a PC recognised HDD, which an Xbox formatted HDD is not, even though it's NTFS format. So I saved it locally with the hopes of transferring it back onto the Xbox
HDD. I thought that with a large enough USB I'd be able to transfer the data back to the Xbox, however when the USB is formatted for NTFS on a PC it's recognised as a media store on the Xbox. So does anyone know of a means for transferring *game data* between
a PC and an Xbox?

Thanks.

hdd storage device can't be formatted with the xbox

Hey!

I had a USB Storage device (HDD) with 500GB configured for my xbox game saves. A few days ago I couldn't get access to it and it dind't show up in the storage menu of my xbox anymore. So i bought a new HDD casing but that didn't work. The HDD can now be
read but it says it's not in the right format, but it was already formatted for being used with the console. When I plug it to the PC I can see in the hidden folders that the 15GB of my game saves and add ons are still there but from my Xbox I Can't get access
to it. So i saved the data on my PC and tried to format it with the console but every time i tried a failure message appeared, which said "A failure appeared..." but in German. So i tried to format the hdd on my pc... I tried every format, I even made a volume
just 32 GB and formatted it with FAT 32 and the rest of the 500GB were unwritten. The xbox still couldnt format it. I also tried another HDD, which couldnt be formatted too.

What's the problem with that? Why did it work once and now it seems to be impossible? My USB stick still works fine...

Thank you for reading and your help!

NOTHING IS WORKING. External Hard Drive

Attach your HDD to your PC or Laptop to confirm that the HDD itself is still working; physical impacts or power surges can affect the data on the device. If the device shows on your PC or Laptop as needing formatting, then it will still be in the Xbox One
format. Try a different USB port on the Xbox One and place the device in this, and then perform the hard shutdown and restart of your console. Hope this helps.

Transferring files from one External hdd for Xbox 360 onto pc?

I got my system to work with the HDD inside, and it shows that the HDD is there, but all my data is gone and its asking me to format it. I have tried to format the HDD but it does not let me, it says that there is an error and it can not format. What can
i do, i have made peace with the fact that everything is gone, but i still wish to use my 250 GB hard drive.

Games are being disconnected from XBox Live & causing system to run very slow

I'm not sure how to move the data from the factory HDD to a USB. But, if I transfer the data and format the factory HDD, will I *** up my system?

Hdd transfer problems

the transfer cable is legit my buddy bought it from here and let us use it.
Legitimate cables do not offer to format the drive.
so if i were to plug the hdd into the side of the xbox like normal and then format it
will it format it as a 120gb and not 16gb, correct?
No.

XBOX 360 HDDs contain factory-applied partitioning and security data. If the drive is ever "formatted" using a transfer cable, all of that factory-applied configuration and data is lost. There is no sanctioned method to recover the drive and make it usable
with the HDD port on the console.

i see

so if i were to plug the hdd into the side of the xbox like normal and then format it will it format it as a 120gb and not 16gb, correct?
^ what if i do this with the hdd that has been untouched? my brothers is the only one that was formatted, im still waiting to use mine because i dont want to jump the gun and *** things up.
