    I firmly believe XBOX and Microsoft are purposefully making bad hardware so we keep paying.


    For the last year and a half, I've been semi patiently waiting for my Xbox series X unit to ship. As I waited, I was PELTED with offers to join "XCLOUD GAMING," aka "Microsoft's Xbox cloud gaming service" - touting the service as a stop-gap measure as you wait for your new system to arrive.

    The catch was you needed to buy an Xbox One Wireless controller. After purchasing the service, I ran down to my local Bestbuy, dropped $90 on a controller and took it home. The service was okay, and I would play maybe an hour or so once a week (if even that). I recently upgraded to GeForce Now and played CyberPunk 2077 and was in love until my controller started to drift.

    I had the controller for less than a year, I don't throw it, eat over it, or any of that [mod removed] - it just sits in a drawer until it's used.

    I attempted Microsoft's FORCED self-service, which could NOT find my controller; I called over three times (three hours total) only to be told the controller can't be supported because it can't be registered. ONLY AN XBOX can register the controller! Which seems weird since they force you to buy their controller for their ONLINE service yet have no way to register for support? I then opened a ticket and sent in receipts, photos, etc. I was told the controller was "out of warranty" - it's been less than a year.

    It turns out Microsoft only gives a THREE MONTH warranty on ALL controllers. This is strange since Sony, Logitech, and HELL, EVEN Google Stadia controllers have a year - why does Microsoft have less than that? My theory: THEY KNOW the controllers are [mod removed], and that's why they limit the warranty and make it SO challenging to have them replaced - they know they break and are using the bad faith to sell more controllers.

    I honestly get the sense thats whats going on, its even more damning when you realize they had a class action LAST YEAR over the Xbox Elite. I honestly think Microsoft is taking advantage of us and selling us sub par hardware knowing the failures would drive us to purchase controller after controller.

    I'm interested in exploring this bad faith action with a class action lawsuit. If any of you have been affected by this issue hit me up, lets talk, perhaps we can fix this together.

    I think at some point Cod will come back to xbox but I believe that Sony is actually paying them alot more to keep with them so we will see.

    Why is Xbox Controller Quality so bad ?

    I believe we live in a society where big corporate companies design products to brake so the consumer just replace and not stand up for what is right demanding quality products. We as consumers should drive a good product by selling it positive and bad
    quality should be made public so that that client feel it in the number of clients moving to the better quality products. That said we as consumers just accept it and keep on paying, creating a market for bad quality products.
