I feel like microsoft missed out with titanfall

It might seem like it's not a big deal...and most the time I don't even notice...but the whole lack of next gen headsets/adapter coming out the same week as a potential blockbuster game was a huge mistake. The first few weeks I played, literally, no one
talked. No friendly chat, no trash talk, no nothing. I slowly started playing less and less. I have played probably 2 hours the past two weeks.....and I'm a 2+ hour a day kind of gamer.

Sorry for being a downer...but it just seems like a minor flop because of something as simple as a current gen headset.

What has been your favorite game this year?

it would be Titanfall if Respawn wasn't so quick to move on, just feels like it missing a lot of content, like game modes, weapons, mods, just feels like a lot of missed opportunities, so i'm going with Sunset Overdrive, fun gameplay, entertaining story,
40-50 hours worth of content, multiplayer is just ok, but overall i give it a solid 9 out of 10.

 

US Soldier missed games with Gold from being in the field

So I'm a SPC in the US Army, and I missed the previous games with gold from being in the field. I feel like xbox should have some way of distinguishing Armed Forces personnel so we don't miss out on opportunities that we pay for. What about all the dudes
on deployment right now? How many free games have they missed? I feel that xbox should help us out with these things. Microsoft has a huge client base within the Armed Forces.

I get it... That it was an issue at the game's launch... But how is this an issue now?

 

My headset doesn't work most of the time, and I feel cheated that my Turtle Beaches don't work with my Xbox1. Lame as hell.

The game was an over hyped 8 at best game. I have like a total of 1 hour played.

1hr played?... That's probably why... You haven't given it much love.

I'd personally give it a solid 9 (I'm not going to give it a perfect score)... But to each their own.

 

I have not talked in COD for three years... no point... don't play with friends, just randoms... same with Titanfall... if I do hear anyone say anything at all I just mute them... works for me... I enjoy my time playing and never have to deal with little
kids, asshats, racists, wannabe rappers, etc...

 

@xenomorph not sure since I haven't used them in a while but I payed 99 for one set and 129 for the other. At this point I'm refusing to buy the adapter.

If you're inclined, check what they are, as some weren't specifically listed, but do work... Like the X11's...

Yes, it blows that the adapter is needed and a bit pricey ($40 here in Australia), but I have the X12's and have not had any issues... Wouldn't be without them Tbh.

 

When I'm playing Titanfall I'm always in party chat because of the language we use. I thought there would be a lot of people talking because of the headsets you get with the Xbox One and the Kinect.

 

I really miss the trash talking at the beginning of each game in COD and that awkward silence at the end when you smoked the sh*ttalkers followed by them leaving the lobby in shame. ahh the good old days

 

ehh.....exceedingly average...nothing really new here....real mech warfare is Mechwarrior Online....I've given this game plenty of time to grow on me, all I got is a rash....a couple of my friends still play it which is why I still play it but it never "wowed"

I don't see the initial issues with the headset use as a huge mistake on Microsoft's part, either way people communicate less and less these days in online gaming. The discrepancy between the amount of people I hear on the 360 and the one is huge.
