I dropped my Xbox one controller today and it started rattling.

dude right button is breakin off thats why it's rattling Date purchased 2/18/2016 right button breaks off 2/28/2016 was rattling with vibration before that though face the controller down when holding a shake lightly i bet ur button with drop out.
second controller to fall apart on my since november last year.

I am having the same issue with my controller but it is the right analog. It just started last night and I've had my Xbox for less than a year. The stick isn't loose and I don't hear any rattling or anything so I don't understand. I can't play anything like
that.

My left bumper is the same, if I hold the left button in and shake the controller it doesn't make a sound, if I hold the right one in and shake it the bumper button rattles, there is definitely 95% more play in left one.. when I play forza and the trigger
rumbles under braking it rattles bad and gets on my nerves much like the UI, the party system, the lack of dlna and how controllers don't warn of battery dying thats a good laugh half way through multiplayer games..
