I downloaded an update, Now my games are gone!

I downloaded an update for the Xbox 360 and then i found out all my games were gone, I tried going to account and going to download history but non of the games were there! HELP ME!!

Hello. Your games are attached to your profile not the console. I suggest removing any profiles from your 360 then power down (unplug for 3 mins). After you restart your 360, re-install your profile.

how do you mean deleted, if the account does not exist anymore then no, if you sign into the xbox with that account that owns the games then yes.

I have downloaded my games again. But my stats are not syncing except for one. All of my stats for the others are gone. For one of them, monthly downloads are required and those downloads are what I am looking for. Almost two years of progress is gone.
So if I have the games now, and I have my back-up, shouldn't I be able to find those downloads and update my games?
