    Hello,

    Just a little background info to start: I redeemed a code for a free copy of Minecraft on Windows 10 from Mojang a couple of years ago now. Recently however, my computer died and I had to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10. Today, I tried to go to the
    Microsoft Store app to get Minecraft back. Much to my annoyance, for some reason I have to buy it again. Just for the record, i was most certainly signed in on the account I redeemed the code with. This is really annoying. I really don't want to have
    to pay for a game I should already have. Unbelievable. If you check my xbox live profile, you can see I have already earned achievements on the game and started multiple worlds in which I have built some really cool things. I have copies of the world saves
    on a USB so that if I do get the game back, I can just play all my old worlds again. Please help me. I feel cheated.

    To change your skin in minecraft windows 10 edition, click your character on the main menu. The website you're trying to use is for the original minecraft for pc, or commonly known as java minecraft. Even though both games are minecraft for pc, they are
    totally different products. That explains the error you're receiving; you don't actually own minecraft for pc/mac, you own minecraft for windows 10.

    That's because you used the account in Minecraft but not the account that redeemed the code, the code was redeemed in a different account and that's why it's not showing on your order history and you are unable to use it

    Yes it is the same account. Infact its the same email. my Mojang account uses the same email as my Microsoft account. This only started happening when Microsoft stated they would be merging accounts with Mojang.

    I did the process of merging and now I no longer own minecraft.

    Also again my order history will NOT say I purchased Minecraft because I did not. As stated before, I got minecraft bedrock because Mojang gave a free code to redeem Bedrock for all Mojang users that purchased Java Edition before a certain date see article below:

    "Windows 10 has the legacy Java Edition as well as the modern Bedrock Edition. If you bought the Java Edition before October 19, 2018, you can redeem a free copy of the Bedrock Edition. You can also buy the Windows 10 edition directly from Microsoft for $20."

    I did redeem this code, so again what gives?
