If for some reason you are unable to remember the code to access the settings to change it, the only other way to reset the code would be to contact Official Support. You can do this via http://support.xbox.com/contactus

Put in the code incorrectly, and it will take you to an option to reset this.

You will need to know the email used.

There is no way to remove parental control unless you know the email/password. To gain the email, your friends parents should try calling support to see if they can gain the address by giving support security questions and any billing information they may
have set up. If they don't know that then your chances of gaining the information are pretty slim.
