    Basically my friend wanted to play Minecraft with me a couple years back and so I made him an account, after playing it for a while he decided to delete Minecraft, fast forward to last night, we are wanting to play Minecraft again (both on bedrock additions) and I made him another Microsoft account so that he could play with me again and he even bought ps4 plus, but when he tried to sign into the Microsoft account it said something along the lines of "this ps4 is already linked to a Microsoft account please log into that one" then it listed his old username on Xbox for that old account, I tried all night to find something to get the email back at least even trying to unlink the old Microsoft account to link a new one which didn't help, I stayed up till like 4am trying to figure this out when I finally got tired enough and gave up. If there's any way at all to recover his old email and get into the account or unlink it from ps4 to link the new one, just anything that could help us play Minecraft again.

    I meant that I have the same device but at a different location (because I migrated the account at my friend's house). I know my microsoft email, old mojang email and password, but can I use that to verify I own the account and reset my microsoft password?

    Unfortunately we are unable to recover emails and passwords through the forums.

    I would suggest you try to reach out to Microsoft themselves using their support website: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    If they are unable to help, I may suggest you contact Mojang once more, I have had this issue as well in the past, and they were able to transfer my Minecraft account onto a new email address.
