    I had my original console sent in for repair I received it with a scuff on the front of the console. I opened a chat with customer service to have it documented within a short time to make sure it was not a possibility of it being said it was my fault. With
    that agent on 10/28/14 I was told during chat that another unit would be sent out to me and with the new unit that the extended warranty would be available to purchase. I sent the pictures to the email that was sent to me that night that should a white scuff
    on the front of the console and no response or contact was made after that. Less then a month later the original console that was repaired malfunctioned in the same manor that I sent in the console for in the first place while playing the controller would
    disconnect and audio to the control would cut out during disconnection, I resent in the console 11/17/14 for the second time after calling in for repair and I still have not received my console back and am told it has been shipped but fedex has no record of
    receiving it. Now I am told that I am unable to purchase the warranty on the console and everyone that I contact does what they can but tells me it is not possible I want to pay for the warranty I don't want it free I have documentation of the conversation
    and the email that was sent I have spoken to two agents and two managers and I get the same response I am sorry you were told that and we can not help you. This just makes it the worst customer service that I have had I call and open cases expecting to get
    the right information and the information that I get I follow up on and follow. I have stated during my calls that I would trade in my console and go to sony I hate saying that and feel I will stay anyways. But with the console being sent in for a second time
    for an issue that was suppose to be corrected and my warranty about to expire I feel that the unit I will receive may malfunction and be outside the warranty period and I will have to pay for a repair that was not properly remanufactured or improperly repaired
    if that is the case I would be upset and rethink purchasing another console or sending it in at that point I would cut my losses and go to sony due to this experience.

    This forum is a support forum for people with issues and questions regarding promotions and special offers for the Xbox one, not a place to ask for free things. I'm sorry you've had trouble with your consoles, but this is why there is a warranty plan in
    place for such things in the unfortunate event your console has a malfunction.

    If you have an issue and would like to speak to someone I suggest you call up the Support line on 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

    Is the Extended Warranty 2 or 3 years from purchase in the US?

    We won't know until later, but if you call MS you may be able to extend the warranty on an Xbox One a second time. For the 360 it's possible as long as the extended warranty hasn't expired.

    This time around it shouldn't be necessary.

    Sorry, but support gave you some incorrect information. Reference numbers are only used by phone and chat support. Forum support does not have access to that information. For proper assistance, you'll need to post the issues you're having.

    Unfortunately support is known for giving incorrect information regarding issues they don't directly handle. The enforcement team no longer uses the forums.

    Xbox One Console and Account Enforcement actions

    Support doesn't handle enforcement issues so they do not have correct information. They also do tend to send people to the forums with incorrect information when it's something they don't handle directly.
