I don't know how to explain what kind of problem this is

I don't play xbox often but I remembered that the newest Fallout 4 DLC launched today, so I decided to let it download, I go to turn on my xbox and it starts up offline. " weird" I thought, oh well, i'll just connect it again, I go to connect it again, and
after I enter my password, the console resets it's self, and rinse and repeat about 10 times, I follow some tips, but to no avail. "I'll just reset the console, that should fix it, right?" and as I'm trying to set up my information, go through to the network
settings, try to enter the password and it begins to do it again, but now when it goes back to setup it will go to 34% and then start to reset its self again.... what the hell is going on?

Credential Problem

I can't sign into my SPARTAN 2450 account due to a credential problem?Can you explain to me what that is?And how do i get my account back because i don't know what's going on.

For the past couple of days, I haven't been able to connect to the internet through my Xbox. I've tried unplugging the Router, all the cords in the Xbox, and all the cords from the Xbox to the wall. None of these techniques are working
but my Xbox 360 can connect to the internet just fine when I turn it on. And recently I've noticed the time is permanently stuck at 11 o'clock AM. I've tried changing it and restarted the system but the changes didn't apply.

 

but this is only happening with my xbox my playstation and everything else connects just fine

 

It would be great if you can verify this, due to the fact that there are currently a wide range of Xbox users who connect with Time Warner and are experiencing connectivity issues to Xbox Live.

would it really be the ISP if the console keeps restarting everytime I try to connect?

 

Could be. To me it seems a bit odd that so many, with the same symptoms, connect with Time Warner.

Do you by any chance have the option to connect your console to a different network/ISP? For example, at a friends house.

 

I got an update on ark last night and ever since then I have not been able to load my saves and I do what it says multiple times and it won't work I have tried a lot 24/7 please if you know how give me advice.

 

I still don't think its the ISP, now it will rarely let me get past the preparing console part, it goes to 34% to about 77% then it restarts. If it doesn't do it then, its still when I try to put in the password

Can you post up the make and model of your router and your modems make and model as well (if this is not a single device).

Throughout this update process, do you connect your console with wired or wireless?

Have you tried to work your way through the
Xbox One offline system update diagnostic tool?

 

I'm not sure where they put it, but i'll check tomorrow morning,

theres an option that says reset console, which I thought would restore.... guess not

right now I'm living with my mom till I can afford an apartment but she had her whole house wireless so that's really my only option, the router is on one side of the house, my room on the other

 

The, "Restore to factory defaults" option would revert your console back the way it were when you first unboxed it. Meaning, it'll format some of its partions (those who contain games/progress saves/apps/updates overhead).

It would be great if you're able to try connect your console with wired instead of wireless, to more easily determine if this cold be isolated to wireless only.

I have the same problem as the OP, it started while on a Time Warner network, but continues on a Frontier internet set up, so I don't believe the ISP is the issue, but seeing as it started using time Warner I cannot be sure

Is your Gateway the Technicolor TC8717T ? Or perhaps the TC8715D? TWC (Time Warner Cable), recently released a new firmware that changed the wireless encryption...Now when the Xbox Is connecting and shaking hands with it it gets a really messed up instruction
and the wireless card crashes and the Xbox Follows suit. No worries it does all this to protect the console from harm and there is a fix. To be more precise there is 3 known fixes for this gate way and always the option to swap it out. Your console is not
broken.You can go wired, Change the encryption or have TWC roll back the last firmware update.

If you follow these instructions I believe your issue will be resolved. (Sorry most of this from memory and based off the TC8305C)

How to Change Wireless Security

1.Open a web browser.

2.Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser. (Example
http://192.168.0.1/ )

3.The gateway will then prompt for a user name and password. The default is the user name “admin” and the password is “password”.

4.From the menu on the left select Gateway.

5.From the submenu on the left select Connection.

6.From the next submenu select WiFi.

7.Under Private WiFi Network select Edit on the Network you wan to use.

8.Select the "Show More Security Options" (allow the pop up)

9.Select WPA TKIP (about the 6th option from the bottom)

10. Press Apply. (confirm the prompt about WPS no one used that and it is kind of insecure)

11. Select Save.

Give this a go and tell me how it goes.
