    I disconnect every time I enter a competitive game


    every time I try to play comp game with my friends I dc from the game and live but when I’m not playing comp by myself it’s fine I have lost like 50 sr from it I’ve had rest turnd my WiFi off and on and stop playing for like 2 hours and it still does it

    delete just your profile and redownload your profile it should work

    when I am connected to Xbox live, signed in, and I try to enter a game from the dashboard, I get into the game but as it is loading, I get signed out, and I have to resign in, the same goes for when I try to go from one game to another, or getting on YouTube
    on my Xbox. I cannot change the appearance of my avatar because when I go to settings, profile, edit profile, avatar it logs me out then it send me back to the dashboard. what am I doing wrong? Is there something I can do to fix this? It is really annoying
    and I hate getting kicked out of a party with my friends when we all switch to another game because I get signed out and have to resign in.

    Sounds like local profile corruption. I'd start by clearing the system cache (it's just temporary files plus game updates, automatically reloaded) by:

    1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go 2 clicks right to Settings, pick System Settings.

    2) Select Storage (or Memory if Storage).

    3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

    4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

    Delete profile from your console

    1) go to www.xbox.com/accounts & click on Sign in at upper right - if you can't sign in then ** STOP: DON'T ** delete your profile. Please call Xbox Support

    http://tinyurl.com/XBLnumbers Option 2 for help with your account. If you can sign in, delete & redownload your profile on your Xbox this way:

    2) Go to Settings - pick System - choose Storage - pick All Devices - choose Gamer Profiles

    3) pick the gamertag choose Delete, and pick Delete Profile Only.

    This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements. Now, re-download your profile.

    Re-download

    1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button

    2) Select Download Profile (and if you don't see it, press the blue X button to make sure you're not signed in) and proceed with Profile Download.

    3) Enter the Microsoft Account addresse for your Xbox LIVE gamertag when asked.

    4) Enter the password for the Microsoft Account.

    4A) If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, the parent’s Windows Live ID & password is required as well to download your profile.

    5) Pick the storage device for your profile (choose Hard Drive if you have one, or Memory Unit if you don't have a Hard Drive).

    6) When the download completes you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. If it's your home console, I'd say yes, otherwise I'd think carefully about leaving my profile unprotected on somebody else's
    Xbox!

    7) Sign in, and retry.

    Hey there Nelson! I've seen issues like this before that were solved by simply redownloading the profile. I'd give these steps a shot:

    -Delete your profile ONLY (do NOT delete profile and items; here's a guide:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete    ).

    -Clear your system cache 3 times in a row (really, 3 times, use this guide:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache    ).

    -Restart your console.

    -Download your profile (use the first guide again).

    Let us know how that works for you and we'll go from there! ^_^

    I am merely wanting to use live to get an update. Oblivion updated fine before this problem started so I know non gold live account works for updates. And that's what I'm trying to do now for a couple of games and I keep getting kicked off
