    Hi again,

    I don't understand why you deleted my thread about not receiving a limbo code,so I'll reiterate:

    day one edition console - check

    hours played over ten hours - check

    in the qualifying region - check

    over 17 years old - check

    messages set to receive Microsoft and third party before specified date - check

    Already been on to customer support who said to post here and this team will sort it out on an individual basis. Customer support can't understand why I haven't received the code for limbo or " other " game, as I have received the anniversary email and all
    my conditions have been met to receive the limbo code via xbox live message.

    Please can you look into this for a quick resolution

    Oh, just signed into Live and a code for Limbo is sitting my messages. Those of you who haven't received one yet, it might be worth checking your Live messages. I didn't receive a limbo code :)

  5. Can you post a link, for myself and everyone else missing the limbo code, from an official Microsoft source stating that these codes were randomly handed out.

    I find it hard to believe that the codes were randomly generated. "Random" tends to suggest a smaller portion of users were sent these codes, however, out of all the people I have spoken to, 100% of them received a code.

    Apparently anyone who used their Xbox One during the console's launch weekend should now have a code for Limbo in their inbox, while the platformer's new Xbox One port will be made available to purchase for everyone else "soon".

    "We're looking forward to launching Limbo on Xbox One," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "As a thank you to our earliest adopters, fans who played their Xbox One the first weekend of launch received early, free access to the game.

    Ive yet to see a press release about the free Limbo codes, so I don't get where the support agents say that its random.

    They keep pointing to this press release from Major Nelson which makes NO mention of Limbo and only mentions prizes handed out at random to people that bought an Xbox One in the first year.

    There is mention however of contact with a Microsoft representative on several game sites which says that the game is free for all people who played their Xbox One on the first weekend of release. This is a completely different promotion to the one above.

    Going by comments on this forum, twitter and several gaming sites , the majority of Day One people got the code, only a few unlucky people like myself didn't.

    Ignoring people that have valid complaints or telling lies doesn't help the situation. Most of the tweets I've made to Major Nelson have deleted and any posts I've made on this forum have been locked. The support agents and the Major seem to forget that
    we pay their wages. I've been an Xbox user for 12 years, One owner since day one, 360 owner since day one, Surface owner since day one, Windows 8 since day one, Windows phone owner since day one (on my third) etc, etc. I have recommended MS products on countless
    occasions. I can very easily sell my One, 360, surface and Lumia and buy competitors products from now on.

    Misses Quinzel works for Xbox in a support capacity. Hence the S on her gamercard. Her statement is official from Xbox. The items were random.

    There is no official statement on Major Nelsons blog, no post about Limbo on news.Xbox.come, there is no mention of Limbo in Misses Quinzels statement. The other prize items were random as there was a limited amount of them.

  10. I've already looked. It has a lot of confused and mis leading info in my opinion. However, she may work in a support capacity, but so did the support team member I spoke to. I still do not see any link to an official Microsoft statement, but I have supplied
    statements to the contrary from websites quoting a Microsoft spokesperson.

    If you can supply the link to the official statement, that would be preferable.

    It makes no sense to blatantly disregard some users feelings and even go as far as to rub their noses in the fact that they haven't received a thank you gift.

    It sounds like a P.R. disaster, which is why I still would like to see some evidence from an " official " source.

    Phone/online chat support is handled by a 3rd party company hired by Microsoft to handle support issues only. They do not know all the answers which is why they continue to send people here.

    If you would like to get an official word form Microsoft then feel free to send a PM to Misses Quinzel by clicking on the envelope icon underneath here post and sending a message. I'm sure she'll reply back to you within a couple of days.

  12. No Limbo code either here. I do have a Day One console which was received on launch. What I didn't do was scan the day one card that was in the box (until now that is). I wonder if that is why so many people didn't receive the code.

    Sorry Melchy, no that's not it. I scanned the QR code on the day of release and played it on the weekend as attested by my acheivements from the 22nd,23rd and 24th of no last year.

    And still no link to an official statement from Microsoft about Limbo supposedly being sent to a very large number of random people and missing out the other insignificants that qualified.

    Please can you look into this. Some early adopters are obviously missing out on their thank you gift.

    Good find,but this will probably be locked or swept under the carpet soon.Also nice to see xbox support on twitter ignoring anyone asking about it too, great customer PR there. Thought since the botched up launch they would have sorted that out.
