so when i preorder black ops it didn't give it to me when it came out

Yes I believe Black ops did. I know they did 4 map packs but can't remember if it was 5 maps each. I think it was.

Have you checked under your "Ready to be installed" section in your games library? Have you done a hard reset on your console to see if that triggers it? If nothing works, I would contact our billing team.

Hi, if you used anything other than your account balance to pre order the game then the payment isn't taken until around 10 days before the game is released, if at that time there are insufficient funds to cover the purchase price then you should receive
a message stating there was a problem collecting the payment. If you then do not then pay the pre order will be cancelled.

First thing you want to do is check your order history at account.microsoft.com and make sure the preorder went through.

Like EggsBoxJuan said if you made the preorder with anything other then using your MS account balance MS will not charge the payment
option till approximately 10 days prior to the game being released and if they can not get the money from the payment option they will cancel the order. This will show in your order history as cancelled if this is the case you will have to purchase the game
in order to play it.

If your order history does show as completed then you want to make sure that you are signed into the correct account on your xbox.
