I played fallout 3- loved it and had a great time finished completely. I am now into fallout new vegas but having a harder time. stimpaks are very very hard to come by??

fallout 3 gave me a house a megaton, and a doctor and a merchant in megaton to buy and sell- stimpaks were ez to get there. I need to know where my home location is new vegas, and where to get steady stream of supplies when needed. I did watch some youtube
looking for my answers- but have not discovered it yet. I am about 5 hours into new vegas and I have no life-literally hanging on by thread cus I cant come up with any stimpaks-lol!- I do have plenty of caps thou- but I even dropped down to 'very easy setting'
until I can get some health packs- any helpful info would be appreciated- I know I will find it eventually- but I would really like to not struggle if its not necessary. thanks guys-

For a while I have not received and rewards it also is not showing that I am gold any more. I have made several purchase including ones for smite monthly as well as bought 2 high priced games I would really like help figuring this out please

that,stimpacks can be found at all shops.Importantly find the medical clinics in the game.2 major ones are Followers of Apocalips camp in freeside and the medical center east of the freeside gate.You can also buy powerful implants there as well to become stronger.Homes
u get by either becoming friends with Mr.House,u get as pimped out suite to yourself!Or become friends with the various factions,they all have safehouse .Or if your evil,just kill a place and wipe out the inhabitants.

 

ok - good- I have figured out my safehouse and gotten past my initial issue. I do have GOTY foe both FO3 and NV.---- I am at point where I guess I need to make a choice. The option to kill mr house has come up- I have a gamesave at level 13, and i ve noticed
that if I kill mr house the achievement thread for the house always wins- fails- I can go back to my gamesave and try things in a different way, which I have done now a couple of times - then the ceaser thread will - fail-. seems that either choice I make
will shut off one achievement thread or another. I am assuming I will need to do more than 1 playthru- at least making a choice for the gameplay now- till I get either of those cheevos open, then go back to my level 13 save and go the other way. Did you have
this decision to make? or if just choose a thread to follow- will there be later options to pick up the failed thread cheevo-? who should I be loyal to? and who do I end up with at the end of the game?- don't worry- spoiler info is ok. thanks for the help-

Well i did run into that problem,because i love me some CHEEVOS lol.SO just make several characters and play different ways with different alliances.Its fun trust me.

 

There is four (main game) faction questlines to do, so you can make a save before the paths split off in their directions, or start a new game from the beginning. I personally saved the game before and went from there to save going through the early stages
over and over.

Your first house safehouse will be the motel room in Nocac, which I presume you have already discovered. There will be more later on too.

Stimpaks are fairly common and you'll often see a couple in stores or on travelling merchants, and if not then they will be lying around in buildings in first aid boxes. At about 5 hours in I had about 30 stimpaks on me. I believe if you have a medicine
or science skill of 25 you can make 5 stimpaks in Doc Mitchell's house at the chemistry set in the top left corner of the room that has the vigor tester thing in it.

Edit - Going by the date, I'm certain that you have invested some time and are perfectly fine by now

 

Thanks for the help and good advice to all!!! I am doing fine now-lol. I had just finished FO3 and went right into FO NV, and it was the splitting of the story line that had me all mussed up. I guess I was planning to run straight thru like in FO3, bot noooo..
I did exactly what you said too, made a good game around level 14 and went ahead with any story line. I then realized the truth of things and have returned to that gamesave and now have all storylines complete.-WHEEW! but I tell you- those simpaks are not
as available like in FO3- I have hard time finding them- but I manage. I gotta few stubborn cheevos still to pop- then im into the dlc, and done. cant wait for FO4! I will have more questions about that im sure!

 

I'm currently preparing for the DLC which should be a blast. At the moment though I'm doing a few quests here and there to level up and find those skill books early on.

Just the thought of Fallout 4 is exciting and can't wait too.

 

I've just come back to New Vegas after getting the GOTY edition cheap and i'm loving the DLC so far although not looking forward to the Gun Runners Challenges as I've explored everywhere in the Mojave so will struggle to do these.

I'm thinking about playing through the game in Hardcore Mode and doing them then rather than loading an old save. At least then i get to enjoy the game all over again while i wait for Fallout 4 to come out.

 

I always play on Hardcore Mode for that added survival realism and starting a fresh game from the start is a nice way to go, I mean, who doesn't like that bright eyed and bushy tailed feeling of a new game?

 

I am saving my hard play thru for last- I will start a new game on hard and run thru it..saw a utube vid and that guy was done by level 8-9. I hope I get the same results- just gonna be a slave to Mr House and end the game asap. I thought the GRA challenges
were fun!!! daunted at first, but once you get into it- I wished there were more. Deathclaw pro was very fun- i used the "junction" facility, just hang out on the hill above them and shoot .22 rounds at them- bring plenty of ammo thou-or just blast with dynamite
until almost dead. oh yeah i got 3 kills w/ dynamite and the kills stopped registering, I had to come back with the .22 and mop up. it seemed like finding specific weapons was harder than the actual challenge. Pickpocket was about the hardest aspect for me.
basically I had found only1 stealthboy the whole game- I did save "come fly with me" till last, my mistake cus repconn has 3-4 stealthboys in there- finally got pickpocket at the end. best of luck yall!!!

 

I'm going to enjoy the .22 or dynamite on the Deathclaws which I may attempt soon plus a few other GRA challenges that I only need one more to complete in each of them.
