  2. Party chat getting cut off when I stream to windows 10

I am not having any problems streaming my Xbox one to my windows 10 PC. The stream looks fine with audio and video both coming through both my PC and my Xbox one. However, as soon as the stream begins my parties voice chat audio gets switched to only coming
out of my PC and thus not going through my headset which is connected to my controller which is connected to my Xbox one. this also means no one in the party can hear me at all. I know if I could connect my controller to my PC I could still control my Xbox
and chat through the Xbox app. However my current setup will not allow this.

Is there anyway to keep party chat on my Xbox while I stream to the windows 10 app?

    xbox chat / audio

hello there i am currently using windows 10 with xbox one app both retail and beta app

i am hard of hearing and when i use my xbox direct i can control audio / chat via the microsoft chat adapter (i reduce game audio and put chat audio up so i can hear what my friends are saying)

when i stream to my windows 10 pc via xbox app or xbox (beta) app i loose the function of being able to adjust game audio and chat separate.. what happens now is when i press volume down on my chat adapter it lowers both sound and chat together and i have
no control over the chat audio

when i goto sound mixer i set it so that snapped app is louder (hoping when people talk it reduces my game audio so i can hear what they say. instead it lowers all audio

i am using the official windows 10 wireless adapter for xbox one pad so it is wireless i then plug in my microsoft chat adapter into my pad and then my turtle beach XO Fours into this

if i remove my chat adapter and use my regular wired pc headset which connects to usb for chat and 3.5mm jack to my onboard sound and my chat mixer works perfect (i can adjust both chat and audio seperately) but this only works when i am using xbox party
within the xbox app... if i go into party chat on xbox or in game chat i cannot adjust my chat audio

could someone please look into adding in so that i can use my chat adapter to adjust audio / chat so i can hear my friends again

    XBOX PC Party Chat issue

Finally, a post that I can relate to. I feel your pain and feel the pain of the PC Friend in a very frustrated way.

I recently switched from playing games like COD Modern Warfare and Warzone on Xbox One to playing these same games on my gaming pc (still using my xbox one controller and the xbox game bar for party chat - basically, I'm the PC Friend in your scenario).

I've spent numerous hours looking for ways to fix the issue you mentioned because it seems like even though I am using a pc with Windows 10 (that comes installed with the Xbox One Companion App and Xbox Game Bar) and assuming that such a transition from console
to pc would be simple. Well, as you outlined, something is "messed up" and causing all types of issues relating to the xbox party chat.

I can't seem to understand if Xbox/Windows are made to seem so easily compatible why, now that I'm on pc using the pc ways to continue using xbox party chat, why such an assumption seems idiotic now. I have joined/created party chats through the xbox game bar
    on pc and experienced:

-perfectly fine audio to begin but at some point, as Horr1ble253 mentions, I lose all audio to and from the console people in the party

-I have to mute my mic (in-game/not related to the party chat) because it's as if two streams of audio output have been created (this would make sense but if for example, my xbox live account is connected to my battle.net/activision accounts/Warzone game on
pc shouldn't some sort of priority communicate between the game/windows 10/xbox party chat on pc so that the party chat works correctly/doesn't interfere with EVERYTHING?

-In addition to issues with the party itself, any time I go from standard "game chat" to "party chat" it seems to drastically impact the performance and ability of my pc to efficiently run the game I'm playing. It's almost like xbox party chat is now off
limits because I am on pc, they are on console and even though there is some sort of compatibility with windows 10 and xbox software, it doesn't work as advertised with games such as Modern Warfare or Warzone.

    My thoughts on other options:

-If I join a xbox party through my xbox mobile app, I could have full function of the party chat (change volume, etc) without interference. My phone isn't the same as being on console yet there are not any issues with connection/completely losing audio between
party members. So do I solve the problem by running some sort of air pods/iphone ear buds from my phone that will then be inside of the ear coverings for my gaming headset? I have a hard time believing this is the only solution (it shouldn't even be considered
a solution because of what Windows/Xbox claim to have created to essentially allow pc and console players to play together.

-Maybe try to use the Xbox Adapter for Windows 10 (USB) to connect my wireless headset to my pc. Maybe the signals get crossed and messed up with something like Bluetooth on my pc. Either way, it's annoying and it shouldn't be this difficult to find a simple
solution when xbox/microsoft paint a picture of being able to "play anywhere on any device"

"We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device."

I didnt even know there was a BETA version... I am playing on teh Xbox App that was installed with my Windows 10. It is version 11.11.19012.00000

Randomly again today, My Xbox Finally is seen by the app and I was able to connect. Now The issue is Party Chat STILL does not work. I try to connect to multiple friends and each time it gives me "Your Network Settings are Block Chat [0x89231806]". Well
my NAT settings are open and I can party chat fine from my Xbox... cannot connect to others on Xbox via the app.

Minecraft windows 10 edition, export map to Desktop version of minecraft.

To my knowledge the windows 10 version of Minecraft is written in C++ compared to java so it wont be compatible as the windows 10 version is a UWP app which allows it to play with Xbox one and PC while the java version is standalone, you can export worlds
from xbox to windows 10 but not from windows 10 version to java, I hope that clears up your concern

Will i be able to run a remote desktop session from the XBOX X

This can be done between Windows 10 and an Xbox One console with more recent updates.

Note that this is currently, as of my post, in Beta. It also will require a decent network connection between the PC and the console (preferably an Ethernet connection though I've done it before over WiFi as
well). You will need an Xbox controller connected to the PC to control the console (I've used an Xbox 360 wired controller and it works just fine).

What you need is an Xbox One and a Windows 10 computer connected to the same network. Install the Xbox app from the Windows 10 app store. When it is installed, run it and log in. Look in the app for an icon
that looks like an Xbox One. Tap or click it and it will let you connect to an Xbox One on the network.

The console will initially have to be on so that it can find it on the network and register it with the app. You may also have to enable streaming in the Xbox One settings to allow this feature to work. After
it is registered with the PC, you can turn the console on by initiating a connection from the app.

Only some apps are allowed to stream to the PC. Notably, from my experience, you cannot watch TV or certain video content while streaming to the PC.

    hope this helps
