I changed my name but the system put numbers after it

There was recently an update with updating your Gamertag where the system will add a suffix to your name if the one you have chosen has already been taken to differentiate users while online.

"New Xbox players or players who want to change are allowed to register a gamertag of their choice, up to 12 characters. If it’s already taken by someone else, we will assign a suffix with numbers to differentiate
you from other people with the same name. We will also auto-format the gamertag to show the suffix subtly in a different font so focus will be on the name you chose but the suffix will always be shown. If you want to change your gamertag using these updates,
your first change is free, but every subsequent change will cost the same amount we currently charge for a gamertag change ($9.99 in the U.S.)."

it's rolled out on the console, it'll look more like CHRIS#5288 (similar to Discord). The only way to "fix" it would be to change your gamertag again and to change it to something that no one else has.

I understand why they added the hash, but I made my name SatNav specifically because I wanted my name to be SatNav, not . Now I have to pay to make my name something I actually want; I changed my name from CoinBucket17878 because A) I wanted a different name in general, and B) I didn’t want a random spam of numbers after it. I used my free name change to change it to something I THOUGHT I wanted, but Microsoft sucks and still spams numbers after my name. I get adding numbers after names so there can be hundreds of Dream####s in a Hive lobby, but a name like SatNav, which I was told had not yet been taken, shouldn’t be wrecked so terribly. Now I have to pay to fix Microsoft’s idiotic system, and honestly my new name will probably be spammed again because honestly Microsoft sucks at this. I get it’s also to prevent spam name changes, but time intervals work just fine for that as well.

Hello Corrupted246981, as you had no security number or email in your account to receive the number the system asked to add and quarantined for 30 days.

This process is automatic by the system and cannot be accelerated, at the thin of these 30 days your security information will be added by the Microsoft system.

You say the number does not change, you put a phone or email, if you put a phone placed correctly with the code of your city or country?

i contacted support and they wouldn't give me an answer as to why my profile wasn't coming up when searching and that the system automatically put the numbers after without warning that it would. which is BS and now i have to spend money to change it again.
