I changed my gamertag and the old one still appears above the new one

I may have also pressed on customize classic gamertag when trying to change it do you think contacting support would be able to give me a free change?

It can be for a couple of different reasons. Sometimes it'll do that while the servers take time to update. It'll also keep your old tag if you used special characters.

If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

On my new xbox I've redeemed my old account but I've changed the gamertag, I'm wanting to transfer games ext from my old xbox to the new one but the data is owned by my old gamertag can I still transfer from the old gamertag to my new one ??
