I changed my gamertag a few hours ago and it keeps showing my old one above my new one....

I understand that but what I don't understand is why it didn't happen to my friend when she changed her gamertag a few hours ago - is there anyway to remove said old gamertag because when I'm in an xbox one game such as red dead online, it shows my new
gamertag like it's supposed to

Try signing out and then signing back in.

I changed my gamertag 2 days ago and it's doing the same thing. on Xbox live friends list and in party chat it shows my old gamertag and on the Xbox app. On xboxlive.com it shows new gamertag

I currently have only one profile on my Xbox and it's not set to sign in automatically. Like I stated above, it's the same account, but the Xbox shows my changed gamertag and gamer score, but when I log on with my other devices it shows the old gamertag
and a zero gamer score.
