    I can't use my Xbox: official dashboard update failed


    Hi, I have an Xbox 360 Slim 4GB on which I have never made any illegal modification or operation of any kind. The version of the dashboard is the stock version. By connecting me to internet, but without having a Xbox Live subscription,
    I tried to update the system as the system proposed to me, but then failed. No serious problem for now. Then, advised by official Xbox support website, I downloaded the latest version of the dashboard (SystemUpdate_17511_USB) from the same website and I started
    it from the USB stick, as I read on official support. The update has also failed and I am not longer able to enter the dashboard or give any input with controller. Xbox is locked to the screen i have linked, I can not try to install anything other than version
    17551, but it always stops. I've already tried to clear the cache holding down the power button and always bring it to the same point. Thank you all for your attention.

    xbox update failed, now i can't use my xbox

    So when i was on the xbox dashboard, it cameup system update. so i started to update it, it download, then said applying update and halfway through and i cam up that it failed, so i waited 5 minutes and then turned the xbox off, now upon turning it back
    on it come back to the screen which says applying updates so it get about the third of the way through then says it failed. turn it off and back on again, the same thing, anyway to fix this? I've tried unplugging everything and it doesthe same with the same
    status code.

    xbox update failed, now i can't use my xbox

    thanks just done it and my console is up and running again. I can't use my Xbox: official dashboard update failed :)

    Nope, can't get to dashboard and it wont let me clear any failed updates, saying it can't read the update from my hard drive. Still giving me the same error code.

    How to cancel Beta Preview?

    I can't navigate thru my dashboard, and so I can't get to the apps and leave the preview. Every time I turn on my xbox it goes straight to a screen that says update failed. I called xbox support because my xbox can't connect to the internet. The xbox support
    member told me it was because I enrolled into the beta preview, some thing went wrong with the update. I must opt out because it's giving me network problems.

    I have not yet played around with the new dashboard update.
    I am sorry to hear that they have removed a feature you enjoy. Please go on the xbox official youtube for a video in how to use the new dashboard.

    Turn off your xbox and Unplug your Ethernet cord Turn it back on Declining any updates prompts that pop up and goto the dashboard->system settings->memory-> then click (LB RB X LB RB X) then click yes. Then your xbox will restart. Plug in your Ethernet
    cord and connect to xbox live. It will prompt you to update, update it. If this does not fix your issue than Unplug your Ethernet cord and goto the dashboard->system settings->memory-> then click "Y" and clear your system catch (spelled it wrong) Then restart
