I can’t use Microsoft Edge on my Xbox, it won’t load. Does the browser need to be updated?

According to your description, you try to open the edge browser on Xbox, it shows the bing search bar, but any error will show an error that the connection is not secure.



If possible, can you show us the network connection status of your Xbox console?

Try to switch the network environment connected to your Xbox console to see if you can turn to other pages normally. And check your settings-system to check if there are new updates.



Although the Xbox console cannot perform download tasks, it can provide basic browsing page services.

Other livestreams work fine. And as mentioned, on my laptop edge browser, f1tv streams live fine. It's just on te Xbox that livestreams for f1tv does not work. It just keeps loading. It's also not a network issue as i have a 30mbline and my laptop runs on it fine. There is also no pending update for edge.

Yes, is a Microsoft Edge Browser problem. I have an Xbox 360 Wireless Game pad working fine in the last update for Windows 8.1 Edge web browser, and works perfectly. So Microsoft need to solve this problem on Windows 10 and 11. It's ridiculously... 😒

On Firefox and the Microsoft Edge browser (the one that comes with Windows 10, not the new Chromium based Edge that is being tested), I also have issues loading my messages.

However, using Google Chrome or the DEV channel of the Microsoft Edge Insider preview, I can access my messages on the web.

Also check that you do not have script or ad-blocking add ons in your browser, or at least disable them for the Xbox domain.
