I can't update my console

So, I get an update for my Xbox one, and I press Update now. I then wait for the update, it turns off after it is done verifying. Then stays off and I can't turn it back on for another 5-10 min. When I turn it on, it stays on the same version and keeps asking
me to update. What do I do.

Every time I go to update my console, it always says,"there was a problem with the update" and gives me the error code 0x80072EFD 0x00000000 0x00000206. I've done factory resets and hard resets multiple times and it hasn't worked, no one seems to have a
better solution.

yep when the ps3 breaks due to wear and tear like the xbox and you didn't bother to buy warranty you will be paying 150-200dollars for repairs



every device does have wear and tear this is why you must buy warranty if you do not want to pay repair costs

 

Do you have your console connected by wireless or cable? And gives any error code when reboots?

 

This may sound like a silly question, but do you wait a long enough time for the Xbox to reboot after it turns off? Sometimes it takes a little while and you just need to be patient and see if it works. It's happened to me before but it sorted itself out.
Also, I would recommend testing your Xbox Live connection, you could have a fault somewhere that is affecting the update.

 

We had some xbox service alerts around this time where a lot of things coming from our store was ineffective. Always check our

Xbox live service status page. Sometimes the issue is on our side, that suite is how you can tell if you need to t/s your system.
