    I can't uninstall Elder scrolls online?


    Hi everyone,

    So my game was working fine and I got an update for the game and afterwards when I try play the game, I am given error code 0x80073cfc and told I must uninstall and reinstall the game.

    When I go to game options/manage game/uninstall nothing happens....the game does not uninstall.....I have tried rebooting xbox and I have tried every uninstall option I can find in any menus and the game will not remove....I do not know what to do.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Unplug you console for a few minutes. Then check again. Also try clearing the local saves as they could be blocking the action from being preformed

    Hey there Robin!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue preventing you from uninstalling the game.

    I split your post from it's older thread so that we could make sure to give your situation appropriate attention.

    If you haven't yet, I would try what we call a soft reset of your console.
    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games and apps.

    Follow the steps here on
    How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One     and let us know how that helps with the issue
