i can't uninstall and cancel installation of a game, (game pass PC)

I cancelled the xbox game pass and bought the pc beta and I still can't install the game, it also isn't letting me uninstall the xbox companion as well as install the new one.

Guns, habe you try to go to your windows settings > applications and then look for the game and try to uninstall it from there? Also, there's some 3rd party uninstaller apps out there you could try to use to detele the corrupted files of the game.

Also, there are some other things we could try in order to fix the app's functions.

So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Where did you mean to uninstall it? I've tried the following:

• In the Xbox Game Pass for PC app, I've right-clicked on the game where it appears on the left hand side, and selected 'Uninstall Game'. This doesn't do anything - the game remains in the list on the left hand side, and if I click 'Install', I get the same
  issue.
• I've tried going into Settings -> Apps and Features, to try and find the game in there to uninstall. The game does not appear in the list of installed apps, so I can't uninstall it here.
• I've tried searching on the hard drive for any files with the game's name. Nothing here to delete.
• I've uninstalled and re-installed the Xbox Game Pass for PC app. Same problem persists.

I Have the same problem except the cancel button flashes too fast to press it. (Edit) I also noticed that the game (Bleeding Edge) doesn't disappear from my game pass library like other games that I uninstalled. I can't reinstall it and I can't remove it
from my Game Pass library. Like you said, something isn't getting cleared.

I got the issue after restarting my pc after pausing an update. So I uninstalled the game and here I am.

It won't uninstall the games when you cancel your game pass, but you won't be able to play any of the games you have installed from the game pass subscription, unless you buy them, or get game pass again.
