I cant talk to people but can hear them in party chat

To save some steps for anyone that can help ive tried

1.) Nat type troubleshooting. my nat type switched between moderate and open when its moderate it says the UPnP is unsuccessful.

2.) checking to see if mic is turned on both physically and on the xbox

3.) check volume

4.) check to see if muted

5.) hard reset

6.) mac address clear

7.) cleared something in the blue ray disc section

8.) updated everything including mic and controller

9.) tried mic and controller on friends xbox they work perfectly

10.) tried to use apple headphones beats etc... none work

11.) im about to get a PS4 Microsoft is awful

Do I need a skype account to talk on party chat?

On the XBOX-One I can get into party chats, but I cant hear anyone talking, or I cant talk. Do I need to get a skype account to be able to hear and talk to my friends in the party chat?

 

Xbox one headset cant talk

Last night i was playing grand theft auto in a party chat then all of a sudden the other people cant hear me but i can hear them???? Mute is not on i tried plugging it in and out even re sync. Im using the kinect chat to talk in party so i guess these
headsets dont last long
