I can’t sign Into my Xbox on my home wifi but I can on a hotspot

For the past 4 hours I have been trying to fix this, it started by saying I can’t sign in and would give me an error code. I used a hotspot it let me sign in just to go back to wifi and not be able to play any games at all but still talk

In parties, and my wifis not the problem cause I’m using my phone to post this right now. Don’t tell me to power cycle don’t tell me to restart my net work don’t tell me to do the manual, IP address or manual DNS. Don’t tell me to do anything with my security of my account. Don’t tell me to clear the Wi-Fi don’t tell me to reset my Xbox, but keep my data, don’t tell me to remove or add my account back , because I’ve tried it all nothing is working.

Hello again, first you have to check if the 5.0 Ghz frequency is active on your equipment, and then go testing channel by channel to see which your console can connect to your wi-fi network.

So what I want to do is change the channel from auto to 6? And that should fix it? I’m confused by your response.

Hello Eddy287, If your Xbox One can connect to your Hotspot but it cannot connect to your wifi network, then there is something on the network that is preventing it.

Two things you can do and check your network on your modem/router are: if the 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz frequencies are activated, generally the consoles if they are close to the equipment are more likely to connect to the 5.0Ghz network.

The other would be the frequency channels, each frequency has a channel and this is usually automatically configured on the modem/router.

After entering my password it takes about 30s to load and then it does say can’t connect to wireless network. I did also use my phone hotspot as it wouldn’t connect to my home WiFi.

I am currently on wifi, my only thought is I’ve been in the same room for the last year with the same wifi and this is a first. After attempting to connect to my phones hotspot it got the same 5mbps download speed when I did the speed test in settings as my home network. Nothing has changed in the last couple weeks and the issue just started recently. My wireless strength says 98% on my home network. Im not sure how fast hotspots are normally so I can’t say wether 5 is good or bad. Just the same as my home speeds.
