The issue is i cant sign in Xbox app on PC

I am having the same error code on my PC Cant sign into the xbox companion app

clean startup to see if this will supersede this matter.

Did you have any different results using the Xbox (beta) app?

I believe that this could also have something to do with the network configuration you are using on your router. Are you familiar with how to login to you router? You may have certain network ports that could potentially be blocking your access to Xbox Live.

These here are the
network ports required by Xbox Live. These state that they are for the Xbox One console but they are universal. Take note you require Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) to connect to Xbox Live. This is a setting in your router you will have to enable. However
this can conflict with port forwarding [the act of opening up ports on your network]. If you verify that this in enabled in your router, we may be able to get this resolved.

I will additionally include a link to the
port forwarding website that you can follow to open up these ports on your router incase UPnP does not work.

Please provide us with any results you have on your end after testing this.

Thanks for the update. With the tools that I have here on our, I pull up some info regarding one specific title "Forza Motorsport 6: Apex".

I will provide a link to the
article for you, and I'd like you to give this a try and see if you can provide any different results:

1. Click Start, and then type services.msc.
2. Scroll down and double-click Windows Update service in the results list.
3. Change Startup type to Manual, and then select
   OK.

Additionally If there is anyway we can have you try using the
Xbox (beta) app and see if using this reproduces the same results. Keep us updated!

• Did you change routers or internet service providers since the last time you were able to connect?
• Are you able to connect on a different network such as a hotspot or a different frequency of network [2.4 GHz & 5 GHz]

Additionally, if the error code you are receiving is a "0x80070002" You might have to configure additional settings.

Can you verify that your Date & time setting is set to "set time automatically"? Select the
Start button > Settings icon >
Time & language. Check the app again afterwards if you had to update this setting.

If that didn't work, select the Start button > Settings
icon > Accounts, then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select
Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed. Make sure you know your sign in credentials beforehand. Let us know the results!
